I have recently been playing graveyard shift rather than the standard swing shift, and I like it. Screws up your schedule, but the players at 3am will be steaming, stuck, and exhausted (from having played the day and swing shift), but you will hopefully be playing your A-game. However, you need to feel comfortable about playing in shorthanded games if you're going to play graveyard.

Agree. I sat in a real soft 6-12 game at the Borgata with a bunch of drunk guys on Saturday night, midnight until 8am. Very soft despite the fact that they were higher limit players who had already busted and were moving down.

My wife sat down at the 1-2 NL game (300 buy in) at 3am and doubled through a whole table of drunks before cashing out for $750 at 6am. That's her new plan for casino poker.... saturday night, after the clubs die down.

I was playing the graveyard shift 10/20. The beats are worse during this time, and if you are running bad, the losses are worse, IMO. But as long as you don't succumb to the level of the table, such as playing garbage against raises because you know the raiser raises with garbage, you will do well (they seem to have had good cards against me, but against others they would show the garbage...).

The last time you and I played the graveyard shift the game died after the maniac in the 1 seat left.

I wish you would have stayed because the player who took your seat didnt shut up. Told me the odds of getting any pocket pair preflop. He demonstrated the math for me. He refused to play 6 handed and the game wound up breaking a little bit later and the combined all three tables into 2 tables.
