Sure! Some of the details are fuzzy, but I've heard that chemo-brain is common. I do have the e-mail addy of one residents I have gotten to know well over the past year, so I can write him for more, if requested.

He said there are some problems in the big games. Some bickering, some rules that are broken so badly and not upheld by the floor that it is better not to play there.

There was a discussion by some of the mixed game players at the Fort who were playing at the series about problems at CAZ. I can't even remember the stories, it is like floating around inside of my brain but won't quite come out, but I remember that they were bad enough that I knew I'd never play there again.

It seems like everyone I meet from that area, no matter where I play against them, no matter what game or limits they play, tells me something bad about CAZ. I've never really heard anything positive besides how soft the games are.

I'm sorry if this post seems vague, I'm having some sort of memory trouble right now. Sometimes words look backwards or spelled oddly. I think it's just a temporary chemo thing.

I hope your health is doing good. I have a terrible feeling from the chemo reference that it might not be.

Glad to hear you doing better, and best wishes for getting back to 100% soon.

I would like to hear more details. I have been playing there pretty regular since the first of the year and haven't seen a problem yet. But I do not play the high-stakes limit games either, only the spread.

So of course I would like to be prepared, if nothing else, its really the only choice in town for the game I want to play.

I know some of the big mixed game players went to the fort for one weekend, but that was because CA would not deal badoogy (or however you spell it). That lasted one weekend and now they are pretty much back at CA, with a friday game (lower limit 15/30, 20/40 at the fort like it has been for a long time).

I like the Fort, nice people, but they just can not get or keep my game running. No sense on going out if all you can play is 3/6 or 4/8.

I figure this is a good thread to propose some Arizona meetings for 2+2ers. Specifically some meetings at CA and a home game. Another Phoenix poster and I are trying to get a home game together for this coming Saturday (August 6th). It wouldn't be for high stakes and would mostly be to just meet other area 2+2ers, play some poker, drink, etc. PM me or post here if interested.

My next monthly trip to Phoenix (which hasn't happened in 5 months I might add, I suck at monthly trips) is on September 1st. I generally live at Casino AZ each evening while in town. I'll be easy to find, I am the only guy in a suit 9/10 of the time, and I don't mean a business suit.

It is my birthday the day before, but I won't be wearing that suit while playing cards. I tend to dress rather well... lets just leave it at that before I come across as a pompus ass unintentionally

Games at Casino Arizona are great. I haven't played at Fort McDowell. In general, the games are not as good in the summer as they are in the winter months. From November to March, the games are spectacularly good, especially on weekends. There are many very bad retirement age folks who play in the afternoons and early evenings at the lower limits and many very bad professional folks who play in the mid limits on the weekend evenings.
