I just dont see how you can fold against 12/80 odds. Every book ive ever read or good player ive talked to would agree.

the point of the bet is to set my price for showdown, so if he raises and I call anyway because I'm getting good odds, the bet is pointless.

This is true, but you aren't getting "good" odds, you are getting ridiculous odds.
I really don't like blocking the river if your plan is to fold and not put in your last $12 given what great odds you are getting.
Not sure what I would do in this spot, maybe c/c a reasonable bet, or possibly lead the turn (folding to a raise) and then either c/c or c/f the river, depending on whether or not this guy would ever bluff a missed flush draw.

12/80 only matters if there is at least a %15 chance that I have the best hand. With the way the betting has gone down, I don't think I'd ever have the best hand.

Bet $15 on the turn and fold to a raise.

I like this Xorbie, but what's the plan for the river if he smooth calls on the turn?

Harrington said there is always a 10% chance (i think thats the number he used.Correct me if im wrong) that someone is making a move. I think you win this hand every once in a while, which makes it profitable with the MONSTER odds your getting.

I seldom call a raise with only TPTK on the flop(Except if the reraise is all in without overbet the pot).
Fold on the river with such a pot odds is a clearly mistake.

Yvesaint, dont take this the wrong way. Im still learning, so i have a question in regards to your earlier response. First of all , I do fold 44 to a 4x raise. Secondly, I thought a raise from utg usually indicated real strength? Again im not saying your wrong, im just trying to learn. You have far more experience than I, so school me.

For the record, i dont think theres anything wrong with the flop call. The only two mistakes (imo of course) in this hand are : 1. Not betting out the turn and 2. Folding the river with the best odds you could hope for.
