In my limited experience, the donks like to slow-play trips and then pop the turn. I gave the guy a 4. Apparently I am wrong in this thinking.

Flop: (8.40 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, MP checks, CO checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, BB calls, MP folds, CO calls.

Turn: (5.70 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, CO checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises</font>, CO calls, Hero folds.

you're right (most likely a 4), but wrong in that you fail to consider the 12ish : 2 odds and 2 redraw outs when you are right.

you're right (most liekly a 4, perhaps), but wrong in that you fail to consider the 12ish : 2 odds and 2 redraw outs when you are right.

Yeah, The pot is 9BB when the action gets back to me. I'll concede that folding is not ideal here, but IMO it's not the crime against humanity that others have made it out to be.

I don't understand your reasoning on the flop if you are going to fold the turn when a K hits.

Why did you play the flop this way?

What was your line supposed to be?

First off, I wouldn't have folded.

But, calling on the flop and folding the turn in this situation isn't that conflicting of a play. He got checkraised. It would be different if he called the flop, and folded the turn after hitting the King if the BB had lead out on the turn. In that case, well... that would just be ridiculous.
