1.I'm still unclear why you're making this offering at face value, since your bankroll seems sufficient (at least for the Legends event).

2. I don't understand why El Diablo thinks this is a bad deal.

1. While yes, this event is within my bankroll, I have a hard time pyscologically coughing up 5K for one event.

2. I've never been all that thrilled about the high variance aspect of MTTs. The slow grind of limit tables where I can easily (though approximately) compute my hourly rate makes sense to me.

3. The idea of a "big score" doesn't excite me. The idea of competing with the world's best does. I believe I can compete at this level, but I'd like more than one chance to do so.

4. By offering such an attractive deal, I encourage more "buyers". If this first selling of shares goes well, I may be able to add more WPT events to my schedule.

5. Long before I ever cashed in a casino tourney, I made a promise to a friend. Basically, tourney winnings are not mine. I'm allowed to use tourney winnings to enter other tourneys, but the winnings all go into a seperate category titled "Not-my-money". So, why not offer friends the opportunity to reap the reward I cannot take for myself?

6. El Diablo doesn't like me. I believe it started with an arrogant attitude I displayed after winning the Stars 250K back in Feb, but, of course, El Diablo has his own personality triats that allow him to hold such a grudge. We've had minor clashes here, in OOT, and possible in M/HL forums.

7. It is also possible that he objectively believes that I am not a profitable MTT player.

8. #6 and #7 combine to explain El D's posts in this thread. "this is a bad investment, because CSC is a bad player."

A reminder to those who have expressed interest (and to those who haven't): Only one week left to purchase shares. $25 for approx. .5% of my action at Legends.

So where does the "not my money" money go? I say strippers and booze.

lol! It's a silly story... And like most silly stories, its about a girl:

It started with the fear that gambling would become yet another addiction. Also, the morality of taking other people's money bothered me. So I told myself that all poker earnings would be donated to charity. So Ok, I can break promises to myself. But here's the problem. I tell my friend, who I love very much, "I'm setting up a Get-you-to-quit-smoking fund. All tourney winnings will go to this fund. The idea is that this fund will grow SO BIG, that eventually you'll be unable to ignore it and have to quit smoking." This was at a time when I was stuck about $800 in MTTs and playing $50 casino tournies where 1st is about $2500. I said it more from the standpoint of, "it is important to me that you quit smoking."

As friendships with women go (for me, anyway), we are no longer friends, and I haven't spoken to her in some time. But the words were said, the fund created. So, this wonderful woman has about $100K that she can claim by an act of will and a request. As for me, I'm stuck with $100K that I can't ethically touch, but I can use to fly around the world and play lots of MTTs. But I don't get the winnings.
