it's an in-direct stake - wynn is paying dan to be a host you say...which is true.

the difference is, he has no duties...he just needs to play there when not playing in a tournament. that's it. depending on what his salary is - dan can now come up with these challenges knowing that he's making an additional amount which could off-set his potential dis-advantages.

Reminds me of when I was a teenager, and the Kentucky Fried Chicken staked me in .25/.50 no-limit hold 'em. It took a lot of guts for them to do that.

if playing against one of the best in the world isn't easy playing with the bad luck he had is nearly impossible.

DN will probably end up losing a lot of money playing everyone in their best games.
