Re: Chicago Poker Championship @ Resort\'s East Chicago (Aug 1-14)
absolutely horrible structure when you see how fast blinds move up. i doubt i play in a single event, except maybe a satelite for the main event. i know lots of locals who share my view.

Can you share this structure with us, or is there somewhere to find it?

i asked to see a copy at the room. starting with 2000 chips and 25/50 blinds for a 500$ buy in is ridiculous. I remember the first 3 levels are
25/50, 50/100 and 75/150. So you need to make a move fast. |

Well, its just a fast structure. You just have to adjust.
Is anyone else going to this? I think I'm going to play a satellite mon or tues. EDIT: oh, and Jay, do you know how the satellites work? It says "single table satellite", then "# of tables = 5". wth does that mean? Is it one seat for the 5 tables? Is extra money paid to the other places? |

I doubt I'll make it to any of the events. Thought I'd put this up for others that may be interested.

I saw that levels are 15 minutes for the sats, 60 minutes for the main event and 30 minutes for everything else. I agree, structure looks brutal... Thanks in advance. |

Thanks Jayheaps you let me know on a earlier post about the blinds. I was at Resorts Saturday to check it out and you are correct. The way they have the blinds the tournament will be over in two hours.
