raises.

and they're called "tags" or "a tag" in this instance. not "taggro"

[/ QUOTE ]

i refer to him as taggro because of his high aggression factor

I'm folding this pf a lot, raising sometimes, and never limping. KTo is a weak hand. Theres a sepcific passage in SSH where Miller says, explicitly, that limping with KTo is a very poor play. With a UTG and HiJack limper I fold this.

[/ QUOTE ]

SSH says limp any two offsuit over ten from late after limpers, and i think raising would be bad, i dont think KTo has that great of an edge, and this is one of thos situations where it would be better to keep the pot small to keep your opponents decisions incorrect in my oppinion

I'm only raising this PF if Donkey Kong and Donkzilla are the limpers.

I wouldn't mind some discussion on what is going through this players mind when he plays this hand like this. I experiance players like this more in live play (I don't play much live) and it really throws off my game. I mean this guys stats look good. So is this a good move which is meant to throw off another (possibly) good player from getting a read or is this just a guy with TAG stats but doesn't really understand odds, equity, etc.

i dont know, but my guess is that he thought i was bluffing flop, being the first to bet from late position, didnt want to check/raise the field on his draw, but then when it got heads up he thought he might be able to bet me off my bluff?

either way, i dont like his river 3-bet

I think his 3 bet was the correct play. He bet the turn to see where he was in the hand... your raise told him you had a hand.. that wasnt a draw. Unless you would raise the turn with nothing more than an A-x flush draw? he hit his hand on the river on his 8 outer(lucky for him)... and was either getting paid well or beaten by the flush... which i wouldnt have given you credit for as well.

i encourage a response... i like to hear how others bet their drawing hands.

I actually like the 3 bet a lot. There are very few flush draws that you play like you did and I think it's much more likely you have a set or 2 pr.

I pump them up on the flop when there are enough players to make it correct. I may C/R OOP HU against a suspicious flop btn. bet or raise the turn with position against a suspicious bet. I don't donk bet it which shows no great strength and my opponent will most likely call or raise. If the flop LP bettor was bluffing I may get a free turn card and then I can bet out the river as a re-steal.
