One year old Ford Taurus, under $10,000, invest the rest

[/ QUOTE ]

You must be fun at parties.

This is also awful advice. Seriously.

I agree, the Taurus only get 20/27 mpg, which is horrible. You should get a civic/corolla and save yourself a ton on gas.

WelL I read the link. It says if you buy a honda for 10K 5 years later it will be worth 5K, or you can buy a hummer for 50k and it will be worth 15k. Actually expensive cars tend to hold up better in value than cheaper cars in terms of a percentage basis. Just do a google search on the "Dodge Viper"

So having said that, it really is not THAT expensive to buy an expensive sports car.

much rather have m3 than normal 5-series. A slightly used m5 should fill the budget slot nicely.

Of course the part you are leaving off is the % loss on the viper over 5 years is still enough to buy 2 civics. If the car makes you happy buy it. Individual car recommendations are useless without knowing you. If you are not a driving enthusist great driving cars like the M3, elise, s2K, and so on might not be as good as a luxery car like the lexus ES. Whatever you do, don't buy a porsche with an auto. That just makes baby jesus cry.

you can get a nice car for half of what you want to spend. Nissan 350z jumps out as an option, especially since I was in your boat and just bought one

The girls you are after are suckers for spinning rims. Throw it on any car you will be fine.

Get a 1993 Geo Storm, purple, you can't lose, chicks love those cars!

Seriously, if you need a car to impress the ladies:

1. You need some work

2. You're looking for the wrong type of ladies

I'd recommend a Lexus, they have great quality ratings. I'm currently driving a poor man's Lexus (2001 Buick Century Limited, with leather seats........and a tape deck, w00t!)

Buy a 1970 Chevy Nova and drop a big block crate engine in it.

You'll have bad ass car for under 20k with money to spare.

Go classic. Go chevy.
