if a J bets this river more than like 1/3 of the time given the turn check raise, or whatever it has to be to make a check/call correct (i'm mathematically lazy) i'll eat my shorts.

do you think its more likely that
a) he will bet a J on the river or b) he would call 250 on the turn with 800 left behind with just clubs one of the two have to be happening for him to be betting the river, and theyre both pretty dumb. |

i think B is more likely personally but i think you are very correct that both are very dumb

Open-push the turn. [/ QUOTE ] I thought about it. But given the action thus far, I didn't have much reason to think somebody's on a jack, and I figured if somebody had a J to call my all-in the money was all getting in anyway, so why rush it? Obviously, I didn't anticipate myself checking if a club came.... |

I want to point out that I like the river check/call route if we lead the turn and he flat calls. With $830 in the pot and $800 behind, it's just a matter of figuring out how much he'll call with the smaller straight, because we lose everything to a flush unless we go for check/fold.

No reasonable TAG can call the turn raise with a draw unless of course includes the Jc. [/ QUOTE ] If by "call" you mean "fold" then I absolutely agree. Otherwise you are wrong. |
