Why did you choose your Nick Name?

Few people know what Baitsim (Beitzim) are. I get frequent messages in Hebrew at the table, but unfortunately don't know any Hebrew or Yiddish, other than the odd word or two. For those not Members of the Tribe, your beitzim (they come in pairs, literally) are your, um, you know, danglers.

Since college I've been heavily involved with various indie/punk bands in the Chicago area as a publisher, show booker, fan, and even sometimes a member. Early on a friend and I ran a small local fanzine, and we were friends with a publicist at a local label. Whenever he would see us at shows his standard greeting was "Hey Rockers!" This began to spread until everyone I knew was greeting everyone else I knew by saying "Hey Rocker!" It is a loose friendly greeting amongst people you know and who you are happy to see.

There are many many words for .... . Regarding 10" ..... , well, 10 is "esser", but we usualy count here in centimeters, so you'll have to do the adaptation. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

My first nick at Paradise (still is) was "Not again!"
That's because I am the unluckiest person in the world and have always been persecuted by the 78% rule [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

When I opened an account at Stars, some moron had stolen my Not again! nick, so I had to find something else.
Fish-related names were very popular at that time, every shark had a fish nick, so I chose the fish that could eat all other other fishes [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] (I know, I know, whales are mammals).

For as long as I am aware of, the first born in our family has ben named William. Not as the name he uses everyday, but we all have always had 5 Christian names (I broke the tradition with my children, they only got 3) so I use that nick here at 2+2.

I have different nicks at different sites. It keeps the ghosts from my past from recognizing me online.

Are you using the same name for tournament play and ring games on Stars (or any other site of your choice)?

Everyone assumes my nick is a reference to poker. It's not.

Aces High is my favorite song by my favorite band, Iron Maiden. The greatest metal band of all time!

Oddly, Yiddish has a vast array of names for the male appendage from which to choose. Getting them past the poker censors is not so easy. I suspect most think my name related to bait, something I would never use baitsim for.
