Re: How would you react? B&M Confrontation last night
[ QUOTE ]
Stay calm and composed. A couple well-timed comments that get others at the table laughing really does seem to deflate their egos in a hurry. [/ QUOTE ] very true |

Much like the bullies in middle school target the meekest kids [/ QUOTE ] I am 6'2 225 Lb's. He was 5'9 150 at best. I just think the money meant alot more to him that it did me and his emotions got out of control causing mine to to do the same. |

Re: How would you react? B&M Confrontation last night
Dude was a typical punk - he was trying to provoke you, hoping you'd escalate so he can be a big man in public.
What I'd do for better or worse when dude gets in my face is is to mock him ("Bwyeeee BWYEEEE??? What is this, high school?"), tell the rest of the table "the rest of you, good luck," and immediately pivot and walk. Let little dude look like an idiot screaming to himself about kicking asses. |

Re: How would you react? B&M Confrontation last night
In my opinion, when two people are having a verbal argument in any public place (and the tamer the place, like a poker room, the more emphasized this is), they both look like idiots regardless of what they are fighting about and who is right/wrong.

Re: How would you react? B&M Confrontation last night
Two more points.
If you let every irritating thing in a card room actually irritate you, you would be irritated most of your time playing cards. This is -EV. If you don't want to take Andy Fox's approach or the silent approach I mentioned in response, try this. Look right in his eye with your best "Al Pacino at the end of the first Godfather look" and walk away. ~ Rick |

Re: How would you react? B&M Confrontation last night
If someone did this to me I would look at him in disgust, wish the rest of the table good luck, and walk away.
