I just realized I forgot to update the shortcut it puts on your destkop so it will still say .92.

When you start PV in the title text it should indicate .95 thats how you can tell the version that you have.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't figure out anyway to start it, it keeps telling me that it expires february 10th.

It looks like when I download the setup.zip file I'm getting .92 instead of .95. Seriously I've unistalled and redownloaded five times now and it still tells me its version .92.

Help.

you've gotta be looking at an old file or something the file on the server is definately .95.

http://www.playerview.net/Setup.zip

Try saving it somewhere different and opening it manually.

Ok the files I get in setup.zip are:

PlayerviewNet Installer dated 1/09/2005
Setup dated 3/18/2005
Setup dated 1/09/2005

This is definitely the old file right? I've gone through the web page anynumber of times, I've followed the link above again and again, I've saved it to different places on my computer, all to no avail... I think I may be going mad. Any suggestions?

Would anybody be willing to email me the correct setup.zip file?

Well I finally had a brainstorm and opened Windows Explorer. edit: I mean Internet Explorer: end edit. It downloaded a different version than I was getting using Mozilla.

Somehow it must have been determining it was the same file as the one I downloaded in january and simply pulling up the old file from some temp storage. Since I had thought of that and cleared my download manager, I don't know how this was happening, but them my tech skills are limited.

So finally after much frutration, I'm good to go.

Thanks all.

(although I still feel like I may have been driven clinically insane at this point).

Default Re: PV .95 Released

I play mostly SNGs and a few MTTs now and then, and ring games only when clearing bonuses.

Last month after you said PV should work for my tourney needs, I checked it out, and so far it has been great, aside from an occasional hiccup.

This new release is non-functional for me at SNG tables; the stats that I track are almost all corrupted. What really sucks is that I can't downgrade to a previous release that works.

I posted my problems on the PV support forum and suggested that it might be an option to recompile the previous release with a different expiration date for us folks that can't use the new release.

I did get an answer re my problems, which was that tourney support is not officially implemented yet, and that we just have to be patient. But I haven't yet had a response to my suggestion that we be allowed to use a recompiled .94 release.

I really hope you guys give this serious thought. I'm sure you'll get around to fixing tourney support, but I'm already hooked on the product and it's really hard to just give it up cold turkey for an indefinite amount of time.

Its not as simple as all that you've gotta understand that

a) I don't get most of these problems so they are hard to diagnose

b) I don't have a pokertracker database with tourney stats

I don't even think I can mine tourney stats either so I can't test crap I have to just poke around with things and release them and let people test them. Its a huge pain.

The thing also is I didn't even touch the tourney code so I don't know why this is all of a sudden an issue.

I don't know much if anything at all about programming, but I know what you're doing is definitely not simple. You're putting together a really kickass product, and my hat's off to you.

I don't know anything about how you divide your ring game and tourney coding, but I think the fact that my problem got reversed could be a significant clue. Before, the normal state was that the PFR% was fine for everybody at the table except one player, and now the normal state is that the PFR% is corrupted for everybody at the table except one player. The "odd man out" effect happens after every 3rd or 4th stats update.

As far as not having a tourney database, I can send you some tourneys, and I'm sure others who have this problem would be happy to help also.

I hope I didn't sound too cranky in my previous post. It was just a bit disconcerting to suddenly be playing without PV. I look forward to being able to use it again.

In the meantime... my skin is crawling and my head hurts.

Today is the first day I haven't played poker in about six weeks. I miss my PlayerView and I WANT IT BACK. NO ONE NEEDS TO BE HURT.

MY NaN comment in the VP$P field is with one table S&G's. Which during the previous versions was shown like the other data. This is the only field which seems corrupted. The others are fine.

I can't wait to pay for a stable copy with all the dootads you guys have put in. I'm sure that I will complain about the high price, but I will gladly pay.

Guys you have done great so far, but dig in and get my VP$P stat back.

Thank you.

MS Sunshine
