i expect Brokeback Mountain to be a critically good movie. but the real fact is that i have no desire to watch gay affection. it turns me off. i like to sympathise with the main charachters. i'm not a homophobe at all, but i have no desire to go there in my mind. i'd kind of feel nausious.

This thread sucks. Everyone is citing movies that are awesome. Point Break? Varsity Blues? Toy Soldiers? Punisher?
These are unintentional comedy classics, not movies to be ashamed of (except Rocky V). The OP had a good idea and it has been butchered. |

A lot of people find Omega Man and Soylent Green very weak, but I just really enjoyed them a lot.
Growing up, I loved Tarzan movies, and I mean the Ron Ely ones, not the old classics. I just thought Tarzan was bitchin', and I read a ton of the books too(Burroughs wrote a whole lot of Tarzan and Korak books.) I also dig a lot of old Vincent Price horror films. Sure, a lot of them were cheesy, but I don't care. They're just pure fun to me. I loved him as Dr. Phibes, and in Theater of Blood, and lots of those old goofy gems. |

Howard the Duck is a great call. Everyone gives me crazy looks when I say I liked this movie. Plus a trashy Lea Thompson, what is not to like with this movie. An 86 movie, however, probably has not been seen by too many on this board.
I will throw out the movie Heathers. |
