Re: Bed Sheets
For what it's worth, I was trying to come up with Christmas gifts to ask for and I couldn't think of anything. Then I just went, f' it and asked for a set of nice sheets. I got those and when I opened the present I was like...goddamn, I asked for THIS and was disappointed. Then I actually slept in them and was VERY happy I did get them.

Re: Bed Sheets
High quality sheets are an indulgence well worth the price.
My taste, however, may be insufficiently refined, since I am unable to tell the difference between 600 count and 800 count. Possibly it is that the 600's are long staple Egyptian cotton. I cannot imagine an increase in quality of feel from 600/800 count to 1000 count that would be proportionate to the increase in price. |

Re: Bed Sheets
I just bought the 1000 thread count egyptian cotton/sateen set from overstock for $150. As gay as this sounds, I am physched to try them out.

Re: Bed Sheets
I find it hard to believe that a bunch of poker players who strive for comfort in their chairs/monitors/input devices can't understand spending money on something like a mattress & sheets that you spend even more time on (usually).
Mattress, Sheets, Shoes, Computer chair are things that it's hard for me to put a price on. Freakin |
