Not even 1 week and most of my players are back to Party. No more days with just $ 100 commission. Thx god those rakebackfreaks are screwed.

best wishes

Let me see if I understand this.

Party Poker pays you to market their site. Now at a critical point where Party is striving to retain and expand their customer base, you are publicly taunting those same customers.

You are a disgrace. If I ran Party you would be fired and good riddance. I cannot imagine any other industry that would tolerate your behavior. Grow up.

It's my hunch he didn't do this (since he is a rake-back affiliate now).

He didn't respond to my PM asking if he was making money off of me or not but that was several months ago right before I closed the account.

I just thought that he gave me the extra-cash to 'get me started'.
If he does this enough he's bound to have some of those turn into high-volume players under him.

But maybe he really was just giving me the one-time only cash that he received from my sign-up.
I'm not saying it's not possible.
If this IS what he did then he missed out on a few thousand dollars before I closed the account.

Party pays out affiliates either a one time fee for bringing a new player or a % of long-term profit. Check out some of there websites to become informed on what they are doing and how much they make.

There are currently over 1800 casino and sportsbook operators online with more being launched every day. Every one of those operators needs one thing to succeed, Visitors! They are willing to pay handsomely for new players and that's where we come in as webmasters.

When you join a poker affiliate program you are supplied banners, text links and live games that allow your visitors to go to a casino and sign up as a new player. Each visitor is carefully tracked through cgi scripts and cookies and labeled as a player you referred. You then earn a percentage of their net game play.

Each program is different, but you generally earn 20 - 50% of the profits off that player for life! The average profit on a single player is $64.00 per month, so the revenue Casino Affiliate Programs generate can be staggering. Since you earn money on each player for life you are building a monthly income that can quickly add up to thousands of dollars each month per program.

It looks as though some took a hit to the revenue stream with the skins taking 'their' party accounts in the last year

At some point i have to question your intelligence. You are a professinal player but can't work out to get rakeback anyways ? This issue isn't about 2+2ers. Party won't care if you find a way around it and still get some % back. They know that a lot of people doing it right now and they don't give a [censored]. It's about openly abusing their rules. Going in their very own chat and telling their players to go on a different skin and therefore ignoring everything you accepted when opening an account. How do people expect that a company can tollereate that ? I couldn't care less if you or other get rakeback. No big deal to find a way ; even now. But , even if you don't believe it; it's people like me that bring most of the fish to you. Tell them that they are morons when they crack your aces but don't tell them about 20 or 30 % they lose to affiliates. Fish is dumb enough to play with you sharks and even dumb enough to believe that i get 30% from what they lose. It's not very smart trying to get players that way. And believing that the Bellagio free buffet or cheaper room is anything like rakeback is even more dumb. At most you can see it like a bonus that Party and others also offer at least once a month.

I was a beginning player when I opened my party account.
I had only had a Stars account up to that point...and when I opened that I honestly didn't know if a full-house beat a flush.

I just didn't close the party account to open a new one because I wasn't aware of whether I could get away with that or not (it just wasn't talked about as much around here at that time).

I hate spammers as much as the next guy.
but if it weren't for a couple of guys spamming on 2+2 I wouldn't have found out about getting part of my rake-back when I did.

After rake-back I didn't play on party very much...but I did play occasionally...and obviously played a LOT when I won the cruise via 20k hands in 4 days.

Because you open your account with an affiliate through clicking on his link doesn't mean the fish goes the same way. You have no idea what it takes to bring in "new" players. The fish isn't reading 2+2 and doesn't see all the banners. I have to find my crazy gamblers in clubs and Casinos. Then i have to tell them how to handle a mouse not even to speak on how to open an account . I need to help them with Neteller. I transfer my money to them . I have one guy that lost already 100k within 9 month of playing. And as you know ; i make more money from winning players because most of the losers are gone after a while and not generating any more rake. And then, while you are killing the fish that i brought to you ; you also start telling them how stupid they are and that the affiliates are making all the money and they should ask me for rakeback. I still find it highly unfair. You want people like me bring in the (money) fish but you don't like to see that i get my share. Fact is ; rakeback was never supposed to be and it always was against the rules. That's why Party had to do something. And to all that now yell they are going to Stars. Good luck. They don't even give the affiliates a fare share. There also will be no rake back. The whole idea is to play poker. If you depend on rakeback learn to improve your game to compensate. Or go to the Bellagio and ask them for rakeback.

I thought tv poker was fueling the boom, turns out it's been you all along, thanks.

why does everyone view affiliates (real ones) as evil? they just advertise for the site and collect commission. rakeback was never supposed to be offered.

Probably because of posts like the one at the top of this thread.
