I know this wasn't in the ME, but I gotta mention it because it's my favorite hand of the entire televised 2004 WSOP...

Ted Forrest calling down Chad Brown with a pair of 2's in the 7 stud tournament.

Was anyone else as amazed as I was?

That was pretty interesting. Forrest was as confident as they get that he had the best hand. I think Forrest got a tell that Chad Brown was going to fastplay a lone ace or something.

You now how there's the head down when it's checked to you and you just look at your chips right away and keep firing at the pot and you have nothing except for a seemingly weak opponent? I think Forrest saw something like that.

Just the way the whole thing happened...

Main Event FT - Arieh raises with (I believe) AK - Williams smooth calls the raise from the blind, and then announces he's checking in the dark.

Arieh goes "your dark checking?" with a confused look on his face - Arieh then pushes Williams all in on the flop which contains a 5, and goes CRAZY when Williams calls with his set, bitching about how he called off 1/3 of his chips with pocket fives....

learn your poker lingo dude, smooth call preflop with 55? maybe a flat call. to smooth call is basically to call when you have the nuts.

my favorite hand was murphy vs arieh and arieh somehow got away from a king high flush (it was king high correct?).

Yes, confirmed.

K4 of hearts, I believe.

I'm glad to hear that. The guy that made that post was totally uncivilized.

Just out of curiosity, how'd you know that wasn't the famous #2 in WSOP Me 2004 David Williams?

[/ QUOTE ]

That poster confessed.
