Yep, so now what happens to those that got dropped? Are we just screwed? If they were going to refund us, they will have to take it out of the money they paid to those that weren't affected.... I don't see how they can do this without causing a huge confusion. If they were 100% perfect customer service oriented, they would pay us back and then worry about collecting the fees back from those that were paid, but I don't know....

I'm pretty sure you'll get your money back. It's happened to me maybe 3 times in the last year, and they refunded money each time.

refund because not everyone was affected and some were able to stay on.

How do you know this?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know for sure. But when I started to have this problem, I had 6 SNGs going and 2 were on and off OK while the remaining 4 were just gone. So, out of desperation I shut down all the sites thinking restarting the software will make it better. Now I can't back back to any of them and I'm wondering what happened to the 2 tables that were OK when I shut down. Did they just play on without me or did they also eventually shut down.

Had I not attempted to restart I may have been able to stay on those 2 tables and finish. I'm sure other players just stayed on and if lucky those tables finished with others having been dropped and just cruised into money... So what happens then?

we think alike. same here..!!! i was in 8 tables and 6 of them was working and only 2 were not. i closed everyone in desperation and cant log on anymore...i just emailed party and empire.

This has never happened to me so I don't know what the general policy is for SNG refunds due to network issues, but I'm just trying to figure out how they calculate the refunds.

For example, what if 2 player got eliminated before the network trouble happened? Do they also get their money back? Or is the pool divided among the 8 that were remaining at the time of the incident?

I sent empire an e-mail about the refunds. They said they are experiencing technical difficulties, and are requesting I stay logged on. However, an hour after the SNG's disconnected I closed everything. Wonder if I will not get refunded now.

Default Party Vs. Stars

I'm currently "logged in" to Empire, but it is badly screwed - most tables just give the "currently not available" pop-up, but some are in fact still working (most players are sitting out though, funnily enough).

I just took this screenshot since this is i believe the first time the numbers have been this way round - Stars leading the IGM sited by over 10K players, you've got to believe IGM are taking this seriously now things have gotten so much worse. I usually see 60K+ at this time of night on Empire.

I'm in agreement with several posters who have suggested a serious DDoS attack on the party network - this sounds likely, given the recent IPO (perfect timing for blackmail), and would appear to be symptomatic of the some-but-not-all tables disconnecting that everyone has experienced.

The timing of these problems coincides so suspiciously with the latest software update, a programmer cock-up would be a close second in my book.
