Too bad we are talking about the WSOP and not the WPT.

Don't worry, I am use to the ignorance of Dodgers fans.

Go visit Melrose Place or something.

It's real kids...Period.

If you go back and look at the ESPN broadcast you will see a guy in a tux supervising the money being boxed in the cage. You then see him escorting the security guards upstairs, then he is placing the money on the side table and finally he is dumping the money onto the table. He was the Financial Director for the WSOP last year and responsible for all of the money. I think he knows what was real and not.

i think he's pointing out that there are THICK bundles that say "1000" on the outside, with 100s on the faces. $1000 in 100s takes up like a 16th of an inch or something, probably less. I'm not sitting here with a ruler. But it clearly takes up less space than those packages that are labeled 1k in the picture.

I'm not privy to what happened during the main event, but I can relay this experience from my final table.

After I busted, they brought me over to do an exit interview, near where the table full of cash was. I ran my fingers through one of the stacks, and it indeed contained $1 bills, with one Benjamin on top.

For all I know, all the other stacks contained 100s through and through but the one stack I picked out was mostly singles.

A small minority of people who actually have evidence are being completely ignored.

How so? I've yet to see any proof in one direction or the other.

Hmm, lets see...

- It's Vegas, where large amounts of money are fairly common.

- It's the WSOP where the winner, if he/she chooses, can't take the cash.

- They are insured and there are many cameras in the room

So yes, I am "completely sure that its real money"

Did you have anything of substance to add?
