Re: easier game for first foray into Vegas mid-limits
[ QUOTE ]
I'm a winning 10/20 player and want to move up....but I'm concerned because the games I'm winning at are ridiclously easy. so where should I take my shot? 15/30 at the Belagio or 20/40 at the Mirage? [/ QUOTE ] The folllwoing are from my experiences in Nov. The 20/40 game at the Mirage is riddled with local nits. They play very tight, honest poker. I got drunk and started opening blind if it folded to me in the hijack, as stealing the blinds was simple. The Bellagio 15 games are loose and easy and glory. I would play them before I played at Mirage again. |

UPDATE
okay, I played in the 15/30 at Wynn last night, and except for a ridiculous very first hand of the evening that cost me half my initial buy-in (as posted elsewhere) it was a very enjoyable and profitable evening.
The game was very loose, mostly passive, with an average of 3-6 people seeing a flop. I bought in for a rack (and a half) of red and walked away with four racks after about 7 hours. I won the biggest hand of the evening when my set of tens cracked both AA and QQ with four people seeing the river and multiple raises all the way. $900 or so in that one - woo hoo! thanks to all you "big-timers" for recommending various games around town. I appreciate it. |
