I would guess that more than 50% of the time that a hand is played out that way you're up against a set. You raised pre-flop showing strength. You bet the flop continuing to show strength and got two callers with a rainbow board. I'm always worried with two callers like that and would try and keep the pot small if possible.

Good 1st hour, some overpairs that held up and a flopped flush.

Hope I haven't taken on too much tonight, playing a sat fro the $700K at stars, and the HH at Empire.

Im in this tourney guys. Im staying at my cousins house and they've gotten into poker somewhat over the past month since im staying with them for the summer. After they'd seen me watch this tourney a few times they finally convinced me to play in this and we'd split the buyin 3 ways or try to win a seat in a qualifier.

I tried to tell them we have a very unlikely chance of doing good but they said oh well we can just try for fun.

So we deposit $66 onto PP since my account was at 0 (i play on euro for rakeback) and we ended up winning a seat in a satellite. They did alot of cheering real happy about this, and i tried to keep drumming into their head not to have too high expectations since there are people who play this tourney every night of the week and don't make the final table.

They tell me im being pessemistic but im just trying to keep them from being too disappointed for when we go out. So far though we've gotten pocket aces 3 times and are up to 2000 in chips and they're all happy lol. Saying "focus focus".. i think they're just trying to have fun with it though joking about what it would be like if we "won". Either way we're only in for $20 so its all in good fun. Doing good right now though.
