i like a push here. i do plays like that all the time. clearly he doesnt want to see a flop.. meaning u might be able to knock him off a hand. safe way is to fold, fun raptor style is to autoshove. would rather have 56s tho. holla

[/ QUOTE ]

Doesnt work enough at lower level sngs, sometimes doesnt work even in a bubble situation, and sometimes he'll actually have a hand. Fold.

well put, i like to be safe, get into 1/2 with an equal stack then be more assured of my advantage than in this situation

This would be the dumbest push/call ever. You have a guy who is shortstacked who is going to be all-in next hand (unless he's brain dead) and even if he wins that he's putting up 1/4th of his stack next hand and is most likely going to go all-in about 25-30% of the time (maybe even more)).

Fold here. See what happens in the next hand with short stack. If he doubles up, and folds his sb, you have to ask yourself whether you're playing for 1st or 2nd.

it's also not the dumbest, its just risky, cause the raiser knows this too and is therefore should fold his mediocre hands and give you the lead

You're right, I haven't, but I know exactly what the raiser is doing and I would still fold.

Plus I never raise half my stack without pushing/calling the rest in.

It is -ev to call/push this hand.

the original posts lacks a very important part: how often has the villain been raising pf? After getting burned so many times pushing here I've finally given it up and usually fold unless I have good read. Maybe now that I've been moving up to the bigger games I should start pushing more in situations like this though.

SumZero gave a good explanation
People are stupid, even on the next level up at the $50s:

Um, please read my post. If you fold any hand after putting half your stack in, you're a bad player.
