Re: Results.
[ QUOTE ]
Are you joking? What is he hoping that I have? AQ? I'm shocked he called anything. [/ QUOTE ] With 99 and that board, I'm fairly surprised he called as well but, given that he did, I think he would've called 1/2 pot just as often as he'd call 1/3 pot. |

Re: 2/4 AA with one opponent.
Your AA is still disguised, why wouldn't you 2/3rd the flop?
I use to pot bet all the time as well and it just isn't necessary and was a leak... not enough callers when you have a hand and it costs you too much if you bet straight and flush draws. People will lay down to a 2/3rd bet when they have nothing and wrongly chase really poor draws like a gutshot with an overcard. This strategy lets you continue bet out on losts of flops and keep your monsters disguised. Many villans are going to call down with 99 on this flop and turn thinking their hand is good. Not unreasonable to put you on overcards right now. 2/3rd the flop, pot the turn, value bet the river if checked to... he's not checking a 10 to you here. |

Re: 2/4 AA with one opponent.
How would hero (or anyone for that matter) have acted if villain had led the flop? Raise and see where you are, or call behind and try to control the pot size?

Re: 2/4 AA with one opponent.
Looks standard to me. I like the flop check a lot.

Re: 2/4 AA with one opponent.
If he leads the flop, I raise and evaluate from there.
