unless by bad player you mean he likes to bluff whenever preflop raiser shows weakness, i think you should give up on the river if bet into. ak against bad players does not equal showdown bound.

If it were q74 I wouldnt like a flop raise as much. But there a lot of cards that can come on the turn to make u a 10 outer on the river, and thats if you dont hit an ace or a king on the turn. You could also make a case for cleaning up outs, and to take control of the pot. I actualy raise very little with overcards when I miss but this is a circumstance where i would.
