I know a couple of huge Asian kids. Like 5'8" 250. Obesity is spreading to Asians too. Eventually 70% of them will be fat, just like Caucasians.

Probably as soon as they start eating like Caucasians.

No carb diet my ass, carbs are the only thing I eat.

[/ QUOTE ]

A lot of them are starting to. McDonald's is immensely popular in China and Japan, for instance.

I eat a ton of carbs as well. Carbs and low-fat stuff. Whole grains and vegetables are the healthiest things in the world.

All this Atkins high-fat bullshit is unhealthy, and no one can tell me otherwise. It is not healthy to eat tons of eggs and meat.

You are probably the same build as me. I wear a Medium and have a 30 inch waist.

The only acceptable answer was 500 lbs. I opened this thread exclusively to read that. Fucker.

True, but my waist is 32".

I think it has to do with all the potatoes Americans eat. I don't the body can handle so much starch everyday. Hash browns, fries, and mashed potatoes are a staple with every meal it seems.

Asians are known for the short stature, but as more Western foods have are available in Asia and more meat is consumed the average height has been increasing too.

I was 5'8" in middle school and a head taller than everyone in Taiwan. I went back a few years later and am was merely on the taller side.

Of course, I'm just average height when compared to Americans.

Good points, but you are wrong about being average height among Americans. The average American male is still my height, 5'9-5'9 and a half. Americans have been at static height for ages. They used to be the tallest people in the world, but right now the people that are getting taller are the Asians and the Europeans(the Dutch especially).

I am impressed. You keep yourself in decent shape for being so old.

I don't know if you are being serious or not, because my sarcasm detector is broken . I lost about 20lbs last year, I decided it would be easier to lose 20lbs at 37 than it would be to lose 40 or 50 lbs at 45.

I also don't belong in the same category as someone who is 5'11" 155.

[/ QUOTE ]

And why not? You probably have the same build as me if you're 7 inches taller and 50 pounds more. Or maybe not.

[/ QUOTE ]

He probably is closer to my category 6'3" 215lb, under 30. I don't think I should be grouped with someone 5'8" 245lb

[/ QUOTE ]

Good point.

This should have been a poll of BMI.

[/ QUOTE ]

BMI is also pretty worthless if you lift weights.

I lost about 35 lbs (from 185 to 150) when I started drinking liquor and smoking cigarettes habitually.
