She is using her dead son as leverage for a political stand, now that is wrong.

Wow Fish, you really ate up O'Reilly's words didn't you? I see you've also perfectly utilzied the Roveian method of deflecting attention through attacks and slander. You're own your way.

And you're only 18, who's self-admittedly only started to get into politics during Dubya's regime. Don't try and act like you know what the hell you're babbling about.

Again, I state that manipulation is a very hard thing to prove. Just because she may share Moore's views does not constitute manipulation on his part.

I'm not saying it is not happening, but simply stating that she is being manipulated to say the things she is saying is a groundless argument. I would certainly buy the notion that she is like-minded with Moore...that much can be proven...but baseless accusations of mass party manipulation is a dangerous line to take. That's all I'm saying.

An alternative view is that she has been so hurt by her son's death that she feels like doing something about it.

Was she an anti-war activist before her son's death? If she was not, then my interpretation is more probable than yours.

Ok, you win. Sorry for using hyperbole on the boards. Other than that, your response was a succinct, logical and well-thought out response to my post.

Perhaps manipulation is the wrong word. She is most likely very vulnerable. Mothers are often very irrational when their children die. She wants to blame someone for her problems. Just like the Schlindler's wanted to blame her husband. Just like how Holloway's mother is blaming the Aruban government. Her scapegoat is Bush.

And perhaps its not the party. It could just be the move-on.org types that are behind this. But it seems awfully strange that a year ago, when she was interviewed about meeting Bush, she described him as respectful and solemn, and now her story has changed.

The lady is a loon, and this has nothing to do with what she believes. She is irrational, and needs someone to blame for her pain. Those who have a political motive to use her emotional pain to make Bush look bad found a gold mine in her.

Okay...fair enough...I don't know if I entirely agree, but that seems like a fair statement. Thanks.

Those who have a political motive to use her emotional state to make the left look irrational, reactionary, overly-political, calculated, and constantly crusading have found a gold mine in her.

Cindy Sheehan is an American hero. She is exposing the Bush Administration for what it is.
