Re: $750 of $1500 Dell Laptops (Starts 6/7/2005)
Do these offers come up frequently, or is this a real golden opportunity? I don't really want to spend the money right now, but I could work it out if I need to. I need something to four table on, and I was waiting for a deal on a 2001FP, but the 6000 would work also I guess. What to do, what to do...

The specs look fine for poker.... just realize that dell tends to tweak the pricing a bit when they have these offers so the price you spec out tonight might not be available at the same price tomorrow. that being said... these deals tend to be pretty sweet...

A Suggestion for All
when I bought my laptop recently, someone suggested that instead of paying an extra $250 for 1 GB of RAM, buy it separately. I did that, paid $100 for 1 GB of RAM, now have 1.25 GB, and it only took me about 5 minutes to pop in the RAM.

Re: $750 of $1500 Dell Laptops (Starts 6/7/2005)
Ok, so there's this coupon, and signing up through fatwallet.com gets you like 3% off, and can't you sign up for a Dell something and get some more off? Anything else that can help save some $$$?
taken from fat wallet.... stackable discount: 1. 750 off 1499 2. Don't forget 3% FatCash 3. 35 off 300 coupon, get from eBay. 4. 2% DPA discount (DVSSRKRWGH9K1T) if you are serious about getting a machine tomorrow id sign up for the DPA tonight (dell preferred account) if you think it is worth the extra 2% off to take a hard hit on your credit. im no expert on credit stuff, but if you have good credit and arnt planning on buying a house in the next 6 months i dont think the hard hit of your credit is all that big of deal... especially if you pan to buy from dell again in the future. the $35 off $300 can be gotten quite cheaply from ebay if i remmember correctly. also, if you sign up for a fatwallet account... just realize tht you wont get your 'fatcash' for like 5 months... but its still worth it because it adds to the deal.... hope this helps, cubs |

[ QUOTE ]
Is there a difference between the 2200 and 2915 wireless cards? Also, is it worth it to get the 9-cell over the 6-cell? I'd imagine that the laptop would be plugged in a large portion of the time. What is the length of battery use for each respective battery? Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] shameless bump |

Re: A Suggestion for All
ok, so with the suggestions, this would be better and buying the RAM seperately? Thanks for any help you can give me. I don't want to buy one of these and regret (not)getting something important.

Re: A Suggestion for All
Was the RAM you bought ECC or non-ECC? I just got an Inspiron 9300 and bought 1GB (non-ECC) of ram off NewEgg, and took out the 256MB chip b/c I was under the impression that all Dell RAM was ECC and they would not be compatible.
