Why are girls not funny?

As for the OP. I think women who I consistently find intentionally funny are rarer than men, however, there are many women who I think are hilarious.

Hell....Gorie is one of the funniest posters in OOT and for the number of women on this site, that's pretty impressive.

There are less funny female comics. The reason is most of them don't have anything to say. The best ones are the ones who combine self depracation and social commentary.

I watched a couple roasts on Comedy Central lately. There was a roaster named Lisa Lampanelli (http://www.insultcomic.com/) who was [censored] hysterical. I saw a stand-up routine of hers as well that was good.

Samantha Bee from the Daily Show is also very good... kind of a tongue-in-cheek style of presentation.

Yeah, she's awesome. I've caught her standup, and it's great, but I saw her on Daily Show as well, she was sick and exhausted from promoting her movie, but was still sharp as a tack, quick and hilarious.

shes only mildly funny, the only reason everyone here says threy like her is just cuz shes nice to look at. And shes like the only female comedian that this can be said for.

I don't count her as a stand up though. she has always been more of a writer, but she is one of the best comedy writers out there. Amy Poehler is extremely funny too. She was great in second city and was part of Upright Citizens Brigade, which always leaves me laughing my ass off when I see it

mabye it's because i am a male i dont get the jokes, but i don't think menstrual cycles and how stupid men are, are decent sujects for comedy.
