Re: PT to Statking export?
1. Go to the link specified in TIm's Post
2. Dowload activeperl 8.5.4 (the MSI version) located on the upper left of the page 3. Install it after it downloads. 4. Open notepad 5. Make a folder on the desktop or wherever. (i called mine Poker) 6. Copy and paste what Tim typed up on the thread into notepad. 7. Go to FIle>Save AS> PTtoSK.pl (make sure you save it in the folder you just created) 8. Go to Poker Tracker 9. Click on Session Notes 10. In the session Detail section, click on "Start TIme" so all dates are ascending 11. Click the p right next to Session detail( this button normally used for printing) 12. Bottom right of this screen you will see an EXPORT button, click it 13. topr right you will see a little box that says FIle Type click on Comma Separated 14. just below that you will see a button that says browse, click it 15. Locate and open the folder you created earlier, were PTtoAK.pl is and for file name type in.csv 16. now click export on the top. 17.Open The folder that now contains those 2 files 18. double click PTtoSK.pl 19. You will see a new file called out.csv 20. Open statking and click on database 21. click import 22. go to the folder that now copntains those three files 23. click on out.csv Thats all there is to it. I hope this helps you. And Tim thank you very much this is going to be a valuable tool. Thank you a million times over. YOu truly are an asset to this website. |

Re: PT to Statking export?
Can any one tell me a quick blurb on what Statking does for you that Pokertracker doesn't?

Re: PT to Statking export?
Oh, I think I know what the problem is. Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom, decided that by default, some file extensions should be hidden from the user. Most likely, you chose to name the file PTtoSK.pl, and Notepad saved it as PTtoSK.pl.txt . Try unhiding the file extensions ( http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/security/trojanext.html ), and then renaming the script file, removing the .txt at the end.

Got it to work! This is awesome - especially for procastinators like me who always take a couple of days to update how I'm running in my homemade spreadsheet. I think my problem was that I originally saved the PTtoSK.pl script in Wordpad (which for some reason was unable to find the in.csv doc sitting right next to it in the same folder). Last night I started the whole process over(including re-installing Active Perl), and saved the script in Notepad. Double-clicked it and presto - a beautiful out.csv file appeared. Thank you all for your help and many thanks to TimM for this great shortcut. Thanks again and gl all, ts- |
