[ QUOTE ]
Is this one of those things where if they don't start strong they won't start at all or can slowly build up steam? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure. But, Wynn is making limited progress. Here's how things looked early on Saturday night (5/7). Wynn had two 15-30's and two 40-80's. These seem to be the only mid-limit games Wynn gets going regularly. They always have interest lists for other games but if they're not going on a Saturday night, it's not a good sign. The Mirage had three 10-20's, two 20-40's, and one 40-80. The Mirage 10-20 and 20-40 games seem completely unaffected by Wynn's opening. And, despite Wynn taking some of the Mirage 40-80 players, I've still seen the 40-80 game running at the Mirage regularly. The Bellagio had four 15-30's and four 30-60's going. But, something extraordinary was going on. The Bellagio had at least half a dozen empty tables and no waiting lists for any of their games. It was stunning to see the Bellagio with empty tables and no lists. By comparison, Wynn and the Mirage seemed rather busy. |

Hotel & Casino. If you are going to play a specific limit, especially in the 40/80+ range you are going to want to stay where you will be playing.
Fills rooms, generally not just standard rooms, and keeps you eating, spending, and gambling in their casino. It's not so much about the rake profit as it is getting every possible dollar. The better the middle limit games you can spread the more money all around is going to be spent under your roof. Just my $.02 -Ryan |
