1. Play big cards and position [/ QUOTE ] Reminds me of Caro's explanations of how to play holdem and stud in three words each: "play high cards" and "play live cards" (respectively). |

Sadly, in many cases these days...
1. Rakeback 2. Playerview 3. Datamining 4. 21 inch screen monitor 5. Acne Although I say this somewhat in jest it will be interesting to watch what happens when the first three are no longer available. |

Sadly, in many cases these days... 1. Rakeback 2. Playerview 3. Datamining 4. 21 inch screen monitor 5. Acne [/ QUOTE ] Darn.. I only have acne, rakeback, and a 19" monitor. Interesting thread. I just got back into online poker after a break due to relocation/starting first real job. I sadly have lacked discipline, keeping my temper down, and my technical skills are a little rusty. The latter I'm least concerned about. I started off running very good at the 3/6 games, but after one 50 BB downswing, I kept sticking in bad games, playing poorly, trying to get unstuck, making it worse. I'm still nowhere close to where I need to be to be a consistent winner, but recognizing how much I need to improve on the non-technical stuff has already started to help. The technical stuff will come.. I'll stop missing bets and paying off in bad spots eventually. But it won't mean a damn if I can't approach the game in a serious, confident, clear-headed manner. |
