Yeah what's the deal with these things?

What's worse is when you were in HS, and did this during Physics class.

What's worse than that is when you score the highest on all the tests and everyone gets mad at you because you never pay attention yet still kick their a$$.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is miserable.

Don't you hate them? I was just about to nod off, and dreamed I hit a pothole on a bicycle. My whole body twitched in reaction, and bam - I'm awake again. Weird.

[/ QUOTE ]

when the mind falls asleep, your astral body leaves your regular body to recharge. this is when you start dreaming. if the mind is still awake but the body falls asleep, the astral body can still try to leave and when that happens, you get a falling feeling (whether it be parachute or bicycle on a pothole) and your mind creates that idea of why your falling (like tripping on a sidewalk or something) and you jerk your body awake. the falling feeling is the feeling you get when falling asleep. you almost had an out of body experience.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there's a scientific reasoning behind this phenomenon.

I used to also get cramps in my calves when I slept which would hurt for like the next hour or so.

[/ QUOTE ]

These are the worst.

[/ QUOTE ]

or when you've slept on your arm and it is completely asleep and numb when you wake up? ewww

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, for me the buring, tingling senseation on your arm and hand after the blood starts circulating again is the worst part of this.

This one is disconcerting. My other least-favorite dream is the I'm falling and about to die dream. Most of the time I hit the ground and die. Lots of pain for a moment, then nothing. The afterlife is pretty disappointing.

Nothing sounds a lot less disappointing than some of the alternatives.
