Re: Poker Personality (LC)
The KK call pre-flop and the limp on the button are tests of how you adjust to the players around you. You have a guy on your left in the KK hand that is going to raise and everyone is prone to calling him (but not you) down. You trap the field with your equity in exchange for limiting a field (which is unlikely)
The open-limp on the button is a marginal but reasonable hand against very loose blinds. Not defending or supporting the advice, but that is what they were going for. |

Re: Poker Personality (LC)
yeah, i get what they were 'going for', but they messed up pretty badly.
my 2 favourites from it: they tell you to equity pump an open-ended straight draw, but not to bet a double belly buster against similar fields, because the dbb would be a 'bluff'. apparently 8 outs > 8 outs. ahaha i got every single decision 'wrong' on that one. forcing you to slowplay the set of 88 and getting sucked out deservedly on the river. ah... poetic justice i finally ended up with 95 skilled about 70 bossy 10 donk and 0 agreeable, i forget the rest. |

Hand one is retarded. You have QJs in the BB and there is a raise and a call to you. You call (they say to call at least). Flop is Q94 and they advise you to bet/fold??? And they advise you to check/call the flop with a set of kings in a 30 SB pot. This is total garbage. [/ QUOTE ] haha. bingo. what, you call with top pair on the flop getting only 11:1? I wanted to bet my KKK into the donkey so he would raise and cut down the odds on the gutshots. They write "don't bet, everyone will fold!", I think... exactly! -eric |

Well whoever wrote that program is a donkey Java writer. The thing was so damn buggy that I had missing board cards on the flop on. I'll probably end up doing them again as I remember playing them... I got frustrated and quit it earlier today. [/ QUOTE ] I had the same problem -- maybe it's a Firefox thing. It would leave off board cards and also wouldn't tell me who had bet. Pretty important information, that. |

Re: Poker Personality (LC)
last i checked AdJx on a flop of QxTd8d is a double gutshot draw with a bdfd. Enough equity to jam this pot.
