This thread is a lot more quiet since the Sox decided to go ahead and dominate this one from jump.

The umps didn't play a role in this one folks. That was the excuse the other night for not giving credit to Buehrle. Where's the due that Garland deserves?

27 innings played in this series -- 26 innings pitched from the Sox starters, and Contreras started the 9th in his start. I don't remember seeing pitching performances this strong in a while.

I caught the very end of the ESPN Radio broadcast last night & the post game host said that the last time a team has consecutive starters go 8 innings in the post season was Saberhagen & some other guy for the Royals way back in 1985.
