Let's just look at the Yankees:
-Giambi should have scored twice and he made a bad play on the key play of the game -Posada had a difficult catch on Giambi's throw, which looked like it might have glanced off the bat. But he could have done some damage in the 1st inning, and then again in the 6th. The announcer said he made good contact in the 6th, but he needed to hit the ball to the outfield, not a ground ball. -Torre made the worst decision of all, walking Ortiz with one out and a man on second in the 6th inning of a 2-1 ballgame. To face Manny Ramirez. With a rookie pitcher who had bad control. Yankees played and managed a lousy game tonight. Red Sox deserved to win.

Boston 94-66 New York 94-66 Central Chicago 97-63 Cleveland 93-67 West California/Anaheim/Los Angeles 93-67 [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] The White Sox wrapped up home field advantage with their win tonight. I think the winner of the East will automatically get the #2 spot since the East winner will end the season with 96 wins. Cleveland has loss four of their last five games. They've put their playoff hopes in serious jeopardy. If they win only one of their remaining two games against Chicago, they have to hope either Boston or New York sweeps the remaining two games of the season. And, that'll only get them a one-game playoff.

I am so sick of being a cleveland fan.
No NBA playoffs last year, No MLB playoffs (both missed by the skin of our teeth.) It is really getting to be difficult for me.
