I got destroyed by some nerdy, pimple faced kid who hasn't even graduated college yet? I got destroyed because you wrote some stupid internet message board post? Nah.

I don't think so.

You're just a college kid

What does that mean? Are you trying to talk down to me because you are impressed with your career??? I will be more successful than you will even get close to. You probably aren't even a lawyer, just some kid who wants attention.

Hardly.

I'm talking down to you because you don't know what you're talking about, and part of it can be explained by your young age.

And I am an attorney. You can choose not to believe me if you wish, but it won't change anything.

When it comes to you needing to grow up, I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. You make yourself look foolish trying to talk down to people who will be much more successful than you. Or is that what you think I don't know what I'm talking about?

If you think you are going to be able to make a good living at poker, then you are seriously kidding yourself. Only one of out of maybe ten thousand players who tries is actually successful at it. And I hope that's not what you mean.

Sure, maybe you can beat the 3/6 at your local brick and mortar but that does not mean anything to me. I bill 2000 hours a year, while working 1700. That I get a chunk of my firm's profits. I grossed 514k last year. If you think you can be more successful than me then more power to you. But I'm happy with my life and my career and where I am.

All your nagging about my mythical basement office makes me want to build one.

haha. Who said I was going to be a professional poker player?

What the heck, since you are so certain I can't do it, why don't we put a nice little wager down?

I grossed 514k last year

you are the man. I'm a 10,000 to 1 underdog according to you. But since you are the man, I will improve your odds for the bet. Put down $514,000 against my $5,140, and I will play poker for one full year, starting the day after graduation. If I make $100,000 I win. If I make less than $100,000 you win.

That's a pretty crappy bet. And the 10,000 to 1 was an estimate. I was an English major in college.

Ya, the 10,000 to 1 was an estimate. OK. So I gave you 100-1. That's a pretty big difference. I'll give you 10-1 then. You put up $514,000 and I'll put up $51,400.

Put your money where your mouth is.
