Re: If you can only keep 25 songs
I cant do this, you are asking someone who has listened to the music he loves for the last 17 years to trim down 1,000CD's and probably another few hundred mp3 based albums to cut down to 25 songs its absolute madness.
I have just got a 40gig mp3 player as I didnt want to have to make decisions to get down to 5 gig. Its interesting seeing Leatherface on the list as they are from near me and are not that big so surprised to see them mentioned here. |

In your honor I made sure no U2 song made the list but "I Will Follow" could have. Just put up a the Throwing Muses cut "Green" from their first album. Great on headphones this time of night but too arty to make my top 25. Til Tuesday's (Aimee Mann's old band) "Don't Watch Me Bleed" could have made it. I should have included ex Sex Pistol Sid Vicious (the dead one) doing "My Way". BTW, this version of the song closes two great movies. ~ Rick |

Its interesting seeing Leatherface on the list as they are from near me and are not that big so surprised to see them mentioned here. [/ QUOTE ] They became the cool band to have a sticker from on your Volvo around 1999 on the East Coast when they reunited and toured with Hot Water Music. Some people actually bought their old albums too (like me, I was only about 12 when they broke up before, so I missed them) and they kick all kinds of ass. A buddy of mine did an interview with Frankie Stubbs when they came to Chapel Hill. Frankie spent most of the time complaining that none of the toilets in the places he played had doors, and he couldn't take a dump in peace. He said some kid had come up to him earlier and asked for an autograph while he was pinching one, and he said, "If you don't mind, mate, I'm a bit occupied at the moment." Crotchety old bastard. Also, I probably should have put "Accident Prone" or "Jinx Removing" by Jawbreaker on my list. NT |
