Taxi Driver.

OK, I just thought it was "cool" when Travis takes Betsy to the porno movie on their first date (disgusting Betsy) and then gives himself a mowhawk, stalks a presidential candidate, kills a pimp, saves a little prostitute, and then quietly COOLLY blows Betsy off at the end.

Now, how cool is THAT??

OK. I guess that's not really what you meant.

Taxi Driver clearly qualifies.

As does Cool Hand Luke.

The hard-boiled egg scene alone is worth the rental price.

It is quite disappointing that the man to start this great thread has not seen this movie. El Diablo is proud to say that he has seen every movie mentioned so far except for Equilibrium and Strictly Ballroom.

Equilibrium you'll either love or think is the cheesiest action movie you've ever seen..... at least, those have been the only two reactions of my friends that have seen it...

Also, I forgot to mention 'Zero Effect'.... Bill Pullman plays one of the coolest characters I've ever seen in a movie.
