My first ever B+M Game
the flop is checked 4 ways
I hit a straight on the turn which is checked to me on the button and bet.

Guy across the table says "he senses weakness" in an almost jokingly way.

I say nothing but I go from: poker face : fake smile : poker
face. they all call .

Similar one in my weekly home game. Actually my Brother-In-Law said it, and still swears by it. He called an all-in bet pre-flop with 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]! Naturally, he spiked two 4's, and when questioned about his call he said :

"Small suited connectors - Better than a pair."

That's the weekly line now. I think he got that one from Vince Van PAtten.

I'm practically crying from laughter...the VVP reference only makes it better...I remember when he was commenting on an all ladies tournament: "you can almost SMELL the estrogen in here Mike!"

Saw this exact thing at the lodge, except the guy held 2 5 . He hit his straight on the river and said, "I only played them because they were suited." Oh and he'd cold called my 5xBB raise preflop (NL tourney). S'okay, we've played together many times since

How big were the stacks?
I won a nice $7-800 pot 2 weeks ago at the Borgata when I called the CO open raise to $12 (1-2 blinds). I made trip 7s, AA no good

Default \"Connected!\"

In a 20-40 game in East Chicago I watched a guy take down a big pot with trips. His hole cards were T9o and he'd cold-called preflop. Somebody gave him a hard time and he said, "They were connected!"

but its always fun when you have a fast played AA cracked by Q7. look over at the guy only to hear "suited",

[/ QUOTE ]

That's funny because two nights ago UTG called, and I raised on the button with AA. It was surprisingly heads up. Flop came Q-Q-2. He checked, I bet, he called (uh-oh).
Turn another Q, he bets, I call, I'm not sure what the river card is. He bets, I call. He turns over Q7o, looks at me and says "same color".

We all laughed pretty hard......

even me.

Bar league game last night. Guy #1 goes all in, newbie heads-up opponent thinks about it, thinks about it, thinks about it, for about five minutes, then folds. Guy #1 shows A-10 of hearts. Newbie had J-J. Dealer decides to rabbit and Newbie would have had a full house. His quote: "I thought he had a higher pocket pair."
