Hand 2: Good river bet. It's only a bad river bet if you don't think that this guy would call with a 9 or a pocket pair on the turn (given your showing of strength and the ace coming on the turn). In that case, you can deduce that he is on a flush draw and therefore should check to induce a bluff. Plus, you avoid the nasty occurrence of some dude called Sincityguy raising your ass on the river with nothing and then you fold:-)

I rather take the free card on the turn in hand one as the SB probably has a small piece and the 5 isn't scaring him too much. I would have to have seen something particular from a Party 15-30 to fire 60 hoping he folds the river.
