The hand must be raked and jackpot contribution collected from the hand to qualify for a bad beat jackpot. (No jackpot contribution will be collected during the Beta Testing period).

Since when did the players begin having to pay for the bad beat jackpot promotions? That's a first. I guess it's good for Party though, they don't spend a dime and can advertise a bad beat jackpot as if it's an extra.

My only comment would be that the first player is usually eliminated after the first hand, so the "late registration" is not that useful.

[/ QUOTE ]

true, but as things stand, they close registration 5 minutes before the tournament starts, so that's at least 5 minutes of extra registration time. and yeah, limit tourneys.

What the hell? After the Beta test Party is going to screw us with another RAKE INCREASE.

Greedy Bastards.

They are soliciting feedback at info@partypoker.com.

Almost every cardroom in the world that has a bad beat jackpot has a $1 drop to fund it seperate it from the rake. Most of the time, not all of the money makes it into the 'players fund'.

where does it say rake increase??

bad beat needs quads 10's or better?!?!

why even bother offering a bad beat jackpot then? people with pocket pair 10's and above will stay in at limit 2/4, 3/6 if they get a set.

i would have figured bad beat jackpots were used to encourage people w/low pocket pairs to stay in. more people staying in = usually more rake for partypoker.

"jackpot contribution collected from the hand"

Do you think the jackpost contribution is coming out of the current rake?

You should know these greedy bastards better by now.

I am completely underwhelmed by every single addition to this new PP version.

Then again, I come from a long tradition of internet gaming, where every patch to every online game brings vitriolic protest from each and every player. So maybe it's just a knee-jerk reaction on my part.

Can I see some odds on the bad beat jackpot? How often is THAT going to happen?

Is Empire/Eurobet/intertops doing the bad beat jackpot as well? If not, I'm curious as to how they're going to deal with situations where the winner/loser isn't on Party.

so, supposing they drop a dollar for the jackpot (the usual in cardrooms I've seen), for lower limits (2-4, 3-6, 5-T) the rake will approximately double, and for 15-30, will increase 50%. (dollar a hand = dime per player for full table. avg rake is about .10/hand at 3-6, .13/hand at 5-T, .20/hand at 15-30.) great.

they are only doing it at "special" jackpot tables, not every table.
