Quit poker now. Trust me on this one. You won't be able to handle the bad swings. (Note that a bad swing feels far worse than a single bad beat). [/ QUOTE ] If you decide to ignore ZeeJustin's advice, you're more than welcome to play at any table where I'm sitting. |

...but, then, that's one of the tourney skills ain't it; avoiding even seeing the all-in's.. [/ QUOTE ] I'm finding this out too. I will fold good hands on all-ins, even if I have the current best hand. (if he hits his flush, then I'm out). Notable exception, rebuys. |

Is this a joke ... ? Seriously. If you can't take this you should quit now and that is very serious.

One of the biggest pots I ever won was a deal like that. AA, KK, JJ were out against my QQ, and I flopped top set. The chips flew into the pot on that one.
Good luck, Fitz |

You had a pair of Aces, and the flop came such that anyone with a Queen had a possible straight to beat you.
Note: The turn Ace giving you trips, was actually worse for you than a help. When you actually do get a bad beat, please don't post about it. |
