A thread such as this seemes to sprout up 2-3 times per year. In the past, the consensus among the better players seems to have been that there is probably not a huge difference in long-term EV among calling, folding, or raising with KQo in EP.

There are about 200,000 decisions in hold 'em that will affect your winrate more than what you do with KQo from UTG. Don't worry about it.

So, Chess, given that that's the consensus, then if I described myself as an aggressive player, I would be raising with KQo routinely.....?

If I described myself as a tight player, would I cold-call a raise with KQo?

It doesn't matter how you describe yourself; you generally shouldn't call two bets cold with KQo.

If you were to routinely coldcall raises with KQo, then I don't think "tight" or "player" would be appropriate descriptors for you.

It depends on the game stakes and quality of players. If the players generally know how to play you have to wonder what that will accomplish since only hands that have you dominated will call ie AQ,AK, JJ or better. Now if it's moronville then raise away and expect slight high card favourites to call ie Ace 2 off............
