We'd all be doing ~40% better if we could evade taxes (fed & state withholding, SS, Medicare) as easily as tip-based employees.

very true. luckily during my early 20s i didnt need insurance.

"Smare enough to use a computer"??? You must use a PC! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] You don't need to be as smart to use a Mac.

Seriously and sadly, though, I have to disagree with your premise. The unemployment rate in Silicon Valley attests that being smart enough to use a computer and $2.30 gets you a tall latte at Starbucks. It's getting better, fortunately, but very slowly and mainly for those well ahead on the "smart" curve.
