He failed, as I did not lay down the better hand, which is what he was hoping for.

I think he was hoping you would lay down your missed overcards. You were lucky because you happend to have an over pair this time you were behaving maniacally instead of 2 over cards, and you were also lucky he didnt have the 5 he was representing. You got unlucky that he hit his 6 outer on the river.

I guess what Im saying is, more often than not, on the turn in this situation, youre either beat or will lose, and this is just one of those cases.

How did he play this hand manaically? Folding an overpair to a raise just because the board happens to have a small pair on it seems like a good way to lose money to me.

I don't understand your argument either. Clearly I played this hand correctly. My opponent actually has a note on him (from before this hand) that he's overaggressive and tries to steal too many pots.

You should harp on me for the time I called down quads with K high. Now that was a terrible play. I'm pretty sure I raised the turn too. And he capped.

Im not saying he played that particular hand maniacally, but his opponent certainly could be puting him on nothing, in which case, soda did the right thing calling him down.

Im not harping on you soda... i just like how he played the hand. I do however grant that you were ahead and in most cases will win the hand. Maybe next time he wont hit his outs.

I play 4 tables of 2/4 most of the time. I was playing 4 of 3/6, but since the WPT ended you have to search a little to find the good 3/6 games.

I have played 6 2/4 games before, but I can only do it for about an hour. At about an hour the mistakes start tilting me and I need to drop back.

I made a ton at 3/6 for awhile, then it started tightening when the WPT ended. I continued playing it like a 2/4 table and got ate by the sharks. It took a 400 Big Bet loss (I was also running bad, and was getting cracked like crazy) over 2 weeks for me to get my head out of my xxx and move back to 2/4.

I started a habit of re-reading strategy/hand histories everyday when I am taking breaks. I take breaks about every 60 to 90 minutes. If I am selective I can play 3/6 now without any problems, but it requires a lot more concentration than 2/4. So I still spend most of my time at 2/4.

it seems like you will lose a lot of money too if you keep trying to push pre-flop raisers out of the pot every time the flop has a pair in it. People take notes.

Sharks at 3-6? really? I only feel little out-matched in some 15-30 games, and very few 10-20 games. There are way too many bad players on party. And I consider myself an average player (with even below average luck).
