Some were, some were god awful. They had to put up with more [censored] too as Mohegan had a banning policy that would seem to rival the Commerce.

right, mohegan sun was where all the guys banned from foxwoods would play!
when i first started playing poker at foxwoods a couple years ago, there was this guy.. he was a riot. always playing $1-$5 7 card stud and it seemed like he would sit down already on tilt. a wicked obnoxious guy.. anyways, i guess he got banned and i hadn't seen him for a year or so.. but the other day i saw him again, playing $1-$5.. since mohegan closed they must have let him back in.. he is definitely a fun guy to have at the table! |

Please remember that casino tipping is different than say waitress tipping.
From my experiences, tipping in a casino is based on winning. Typically, the winner of a hand will tip the dealer. The bigger the pot, (often) the bigger the tip. Since one dealer may get lucky to deal a really hot session (by no skill of his own - he was just holding the cards, right?) his tips would be much more than that of the next guy who may have been victim of a bad run of cards where the pot never grew. (I won't even mention the tip that occurs on a jackpot hand - oops guess i just did ) In general, I beleive in the best server making the most tips. In the casino industry, however, I see no problem with tip sharing. If you have to deal with a unfriendly or icompetent dealer, you should have words with the manager to rectify the situation. |
