Re: AQ hits draw heavy board
Let's assume we bet the river 2/3 pot here.
And the villain leads 2/3 to 3/4 pot on the river. Is that a call or fold ? |

I'd probably call the river and not like it very much.. especially since villain should be allin by then, but it's pretty close to a fold, I'd have to go on my gut feeling here to decide |

[ QUOTE ] Call the river. [/ QUOTE ] why? [/ QUOTE ] Oops, I missed the 4 straight. Yeah, that makes it easier to fold. |

Re: AQ hits draw heavy board
[ QUOTE ]
Could you guys explain your reasoning for betting the turn? What hand are we most likely putting the villain on? [/ QUOTE ] A hand with a Q, a J or a King, or some combination. If he has a pair and king you don't let him draw free. He also might feel that you love your hand and plan on checkraising the river if you bet the turn when you're behind, essentially giving you a free showdown. Also, often checking the turn induces a river bet with a wider range of hands, when you can't call a bet this isn't good. |

Re: AQ hits draw heavy board
Consider this. When the flop comes down, your hand loses to:AA,KK,QQ,JJ,1010,or AK.Your hand is only good if he raised on a pair smaller than 10's,& then you're not going to get any action.Your hand is dogmeat at this point. And it never gets any better as the hand progresses.
