So I call the flop since folding here just feels weird.

Turn is 7. Bet, call, I fold

River is a 6. Bet, raise, SB crys and calls and sees K3s for a straight. I can hear him vomit with rage through my speakers.

yes but the fish is very capable of calling with AK, KQ, AJ.

I fail to see how that helps hero if he's behind the bettor. Nice for implied odds but after the flop you aren't anywhere close enough anyway.
