I feel strongly that your chips should be moving into the middle before the flop.

Fine, barf at my line if you must

For the record (who gives a dam) I push this everytime myself. Still I want to make an argument for calling and checkpushing any non-A flop. Feel free to make counter-ARGUMENTS .

If a non-A flop comes, the two lines are similar. 80% of the time villain will c-bet and pot commit himself to call our push.

If flop comes with an A, Hero check-folds and looses 400 chips. This sucks, but it's better than going broke, and we're likely behind at this point. Basically, the only hands we beat are KQ, 66-88. Unless villain is LAG everything else only gives us two outs for the set.

By the way, I assume we have no preflop FE.

villain may be raising a lot of hands that look nothing like KQ/66/etc. folding on an A high flop is bad.

i also like the preF push.

This presupposes that villain is c-betting when he misses, but only betting an A high flop with an A. I think you're out thinking yourself here.

That's a good answer. Ok. Maybe if villain was utg my range for him would be more adequate (and thus my line would have more merit).
