I thought villains most likely hands were QQ/JJ/AK. That's why I bet the flop. He was new to the table so I didn't have much of a read, but he had been involved in the first 3 hands he played since he sat down. I felt he would call with JJ or QQ.

The thing is, he'll certainly bet qq/jj if you check, and maybe ak as well. I think it's worth giving ak a chance to bluff off his money.

What could have possibly made you bet the rest of your stack on the flop? That's bush league.

First, what exactly makes you think he's not on AA? The fact reraised you twice preflop? And if you're so sure he's not, why don't you push preflop?

Clearly, you had every intention to push on the flop, so why not just do it preflop?

good point. I shoulda pushed pre-flop. Albert got it right, and this is a lame beat post in disguise. He had AQs.

I don't understand why these threads get so many replies.

Thinly disguised bad beat post or a twisted brag post.

BTW -- Hand looks pretty standard to me.

even with all the reraising PF?

I can't get away from KK pf. Today villain had a 30/3/ after 30 hands. I open raise. Villain makes PSR, I get 1/2 my stack in since we have a caller in between. Calls. I check/call a 10 high flop to villains pot sized push and villain shows AA. Standard?
